The Bulls won their third straight after dropping the opener of the trek in Phoenix on Saturday when Derrick Rose and Ben Gordon scored 26 points apiece as Chicago upended the Suns, 122-111, at US Airways Center.

Luol Deng added 17 points and 10 rebounds for the Bulls, who have won a season-high three straight on the heels of a season-worst five-game slide and improved to 8-17 as the visitor on the year. Kirk Hinrich chipped in 15 points and Tyrus Thomas 10 in the win.

The Rockets, meanwhile, snapped a two-game skid in the second leg of a three- game homestand on Saturday when Ron Artest led all scorers with 27 points and totaled seven rebounds with as many assists to help lead Houston to a 110-93 triumph over the Golden State Warriors.

Yao Ming had 25 points and 11 rebounds while Aaron Brooks came off the bench to match a career-high in points with 22 and hand out a career-high nine assists for the Rockets, who moved to 1-1 on the residency following a loss to Philadelphia on Wednesday.

Carl Landry chipped in 17 points and eight boards in 20-plus minutes off the bench with Tracy McGrady sidelined with a sprained left ankle as the Rockets improved to 16-6 at home on the year.

McGrady, who has also been struggling with a sore left knee for most of the season, is listed as day-to-day.

Houston has dominated the series recently, winning five straight and 10 of the last 11 meetings between the two clubs.
